Now that your KardiaMobile® Card is connected to your smartphone. We can start recording your ECG. To get a high-quality recording, Follow the simple steps listed below.

• Step 1: Open the Kardia app and tap “Record your EKG.”
• Step 2: If this is your first time using the KardiaMobile Card, follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup and select your device.
• Step 3: Hold the KardiaMobile Card between your index finger and thumb, and press the power button with your thumb.

• Step 4: Place the device on a flat surface. Ensure it is oriented correctly, with the AliveCor logo and the “KardiaMobile” brand name in the top left corner.
• Step 5: Place one finger or thumb from each hand on the two top electrodes. You do not need to squeeze or press down firmly.

• Step 6: The app will indicate when you have good contact and the recording begins.
• Step 7: Hold still while the timer counts down from 30 seconds until the ECG recording is complete.
• The device will turn off automatically after use.

Once the recording is completed, the Kardia app will instantly analyse if your heart rhythm is normal or if
atrial fibrillation is detected.
